Hornet Basketball Season Ends Too Soon

The Hornet basketball season came to an end on Tuesday night versus Bowie.  The shots were not falling for the Hornets in the first half which lead to a 21 point deficit. With a warrior mentality the Hornets mounted a ferocious comeback getting steal after steal and defensive stop after defensive stop.   The lead was cut down

The Hornet Basketball team is headed to the Playoffs! They will square off with Austin Bowie next Tuesday at Hays CISD Johnson HS in Buda, Texas. Time for tip-off set for 8pm.  Stay tuned to eastcentralathletics.com for more details as they become available.

Hornet Basketball Update

Friday night the Hornets took on an undefeated Judson Rockets team and gave them all they could handle.  While fighting hard the Hornets fell 97-89.  Tonight they look to pick up a second win versus Steele and wrap-up 3rd place in district. Tip set for 7pm at Steele High School.

Hornets Pick Up Big Win

Tuesday night Hornet basketball teams swept the San Marcos at the Nest.  The Hornets opened the game with a commanding 36-13 1st quarter and would close out the game with a 29-13 4th quarter.  Those two quarters along with great energy, lots of hustle, and a few big defensive stops propelled the Hornets to a 117-73 victory.  Offensive leaders
