Multiple Teams · Hornet Golf Looks To Break Out In 2018-2019

The Hornet Golf team is fired up for the 2018-2019 season after completing one of the most successful seasons they’ve had in recent memory. Coach Chip Moxley is excited to build off of a season in which the top varsity boys team finished 4th in a very competitive district and is returning 3 of the top 5 players on that squad. Wyatt Johnston qualified for the regional tournament with a top 5 individual finish in last year’s district tourney and the team hopes to qualify as a team this upcoming year. The boys won the competitive Ray Texan Shootout in Corpus last year and improved their district team score by 51 strokes from the previous season. The middle school program continues to thrive and is seeing positive results at the high school level. The girl’s team also looks to regain some steam with incoming players joining the program. Coach Moxley looks for big things from senior captain Ryan Wahne, senior co-captain Bryce Miller and returning top team player Brycen Collier as they’ve had a successful summer season and expect to build off of that success during the season. Keep your eye out for the Hornet golf team as they look to make some serious noise around the city!
